Nan-O-Myte!

So me and the wife are sitting here, and then the whole apartment shakes, like someone slammed a door, but only with more power. The whole place shook bad, but very quickly, and then a few seconds later, there was another shake.
It wasn't like how an earthquake usually is, with the shaking and rolling, this was more of two quick large jolts and that was it.
Just felt it, so I thought it would be too early to check the news for this, but one of the local stations has a website that has info on earthquakes, and I found this:
http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/nc51182114.htm
It felt crazy, whatever it was.
EDIT:
Ooh it updated itself, it says it was a 3.4, but like I said, it felt like two big jolts, kind of like someone slamming the door.
Wow, they are quick. The page automatically gets made when something happens, then it gets sent to a seismologist, and he confirms it.
The magic of modern technology.
