I promised these in another thread as a thank you for putting up with my ramblings for 100 posts. I really wanted to paint them, but I hate my lack of photographic skills and the oil paints would take two weeks before they were dry enough to scan in. So, here's a couple of Joes in pre-paint drafts instead. I said I'd do a Snow Serpent as well, but I spilled soup on it (and my keyboard, which is why it took so long to slap these up here). I'll do some more when I have time again, unless these completely suck. Oh, and CIAD, Apac, et-al; yes, these are open for hazing as well. Cheers, guys, and thanks for being so welcoming.

Nope, I'm a righty.

I thought you might have been a lefty sense both charachters you drew were shooting with their left hands, instead of their rights.

So, :shifty when do I get to change my avatar and sig?

Never.... :banana Just kidding, what do you say guys, I think he has been through enough Pee-Pee-Time and the MLP hazzing, and judging by his art, he could make one killer sig for himself and others (hint, hint,)

Thanks again, guys. Like I said, when money and time are more accessible, then I'll create something better for you all. Until then, I'll keep throwing more of this crap up from time to time. Cheers!

Throw this crap up for us?

What, we aren't good enough for the good stuff? You have to offer that crappy fisher-price "my first pencil sketch" junk up?

Well, maybe if you showed me a little more appreciation. I mean, when was the last time you even noticed my hair. And when I first met you, you supported me and the Little Ponies. I should have listened to my mother; she warned me about you Joes wanting to control everything with your Kung Fu Grip.

:lol I didn't know anyone actually wanted to see any more. I don't have anything planned, but I'm about to be in-between projects, so I can squeeze something in this month. What did you have in mind?

Spirit vs. Storm Shadow!

Syrlandevale
08-15-2007, 12:14 AM
Those sound great, guys. I loved the Storm Shadow/Spirit duels in the Sunbow show. I can start these next week, so what era do you guys prefer these characters from, what ideas do you have for them (actions or poses), and what medium do you want them done in? Charcoal, pen and ink, and pointalism are the fastest; if I did an oil painting or sculpture it would be small and lacking in detail.

SS vs. Spirit, vintage, charcoal....death stare kind of stance :cobra

I like either charcoal or pen and ink; whichever you prefer. As far as how I picture Cover Girl I like her with long hair like how she ws in the original mini-series. Since you asked what I would like to see I will tell you 2 things I don't want to see/hate: I HATE how Devil's Due draws her with those long/tall high heeled boots she was originally a tanker and as such I picture her with tanker boots on (I'll try to attach a pic of tanker boots for reference). I also highly Dislike the fur collar/cuffs they put on her leather jacket. If you draw her with a leather jacket thats fine just don't make it fur lined. Or if you want to draw her in a teeshirt or just an old Army shirt that's cool too. How you pose her....hmmm....she should have an old Colt .45 1911 in her hand and she should be postured so that it reflects that bad arse/smart arse kind of attitude she has.

I'll have to think about the other characters, I probably would prefer them all drawn seperately.
Think of something you may want in compensation for your efforts as I really appreciate it !!

Syrlandevale
08-15-2007, 12:34 PM
Sounds good. No compensation is needed. I hate the stuff I get paid for; I'd never tarnish anything I care about... unless you wanted an 8 by 5 foot oil painting. I'd love to take any Joe requests, as long as everyone knows that they have to be worked in around my schedule. If there are any other requests, get them in before next week and I'll try to work them in.

Alright, but if their hair gets all tangled because I haven't spent enough time grooming them, then it's on your hands. Plus, I have to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't roam into the My Little Glue Factory.
