I colored this comic. It was the first time I tried this kind of GI Joe collaboration. There's also part of an issue 2 on my web site.

It's also how I got my moniker, Color-viper. Look at the credits on page 2 of issue 1.

Cobraaa.com was one of the shortest-lived and coolest looking Joe sites ever made. . .ever.

Wasn't the guy from Airtight's Hostile Environment part of that? In any case, the intro page with Crystal Method playing in the background was incredible. I remember the comic posted here and even the occasional Marvel comic they'd scan in from time to time. :p

:thumbsup:thumbsupYea, A fellow Cobraaa member! :rock It might have been short lived, but man it was so cool, I remember checking it daily, downloading the custom pics, waiting, waiting, and waiting for the second issue of the online comic to come out, and it never comming. :cry

And it was Justin (aka General Hawk from General's Joes) that was part of Cobraaa.com I still think that they had the coolest ever main page for a joe page. Nothing has even come close to it.

Ha!

Well it's good to be missed.

Regarding the Cobra the Enemy comic, it was written by Justin Bell and the first issue was drawn by Hawkwinter, inked by Leanne, and colored and lettered by me. Issue 2 was drawn and inked by Gonzo. It was a very ambitious project and it really takes an incredible amount of effort and time to do something like that, particularly when it is not being paid. That it collapsed midway through issue 2 was not a surprise to me at the time, because of the various life stresses on the contributors, me included. But it was fun while it lasted.

You can see what there is of issue 2 on my web site. I really loved coloring the hydrofoil for that one.

And I want to mention again that I am currently coloring a new GI Joe online comic book. It should be coming out in about a month... and the work I am doing there blows away what I did for the CTE comic. The artists involved are also quite good. When that one is ready, I think you'll agree it'll be worth the wait.

And here's another thing just for Fun... pimp daddy Destro.

Thanks!

Here's a special bonus....

...If you go to this page (http://www.jmort.com/portfolio/joecomics.htm) on my web site, at the bottom, you can find a page from the new Cobra colored comic that will eventually appear on this site (http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/).
