So, tomorrow at noon, after God knows how many practice questions in eleventy billion prep books, I take the Graduate Management Admission Test, the required test to apply to business graduate school. I'm applying to the MBA (business master) and MPA (accounting) programs at UT-Austin for entry this fall. Hopefully one will bite. This is of course merely the first step toward eventual world domination, but I digress.
:stewie You know the test is in like three hours.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4/wrworth/FGbrian2.gif "Aw crap all we've done is work out!"
:stewie We should probably study.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4/wrworth/FGbrian2.gif "Right."
I've taken a dozen or more practice tests and am about to slog through one last timed one from the testmaker peoples themselves. Wish me luck!
Or don't, you bastards! :shifty

You just walk right on in there and tell those examiners you personally know Clutch.
You oughta sail through the exams.
Seriously. You'll do fine.

Damn man, you'd think this stupid test was in the War Room at the Pentagon. Driver's license/ID check, I understand, but I had to have my picture and fingerprint taken and then verified maybe 6 feet away around the corner just to get into the testing room..where there about three cameras at each monitor. If I wanted to leave during the scheduled breaks I had to go through all that crap to get out and again to get back in.
Yeah, I skipped the breaks between sections. Screw all that.
Evidently, these measures are safeguards to prevent clones with teleporting technology from cheating on the GMAT. :clone :shifty :clone
At any rate, since the whole thing is on computer, unofficial results are tallied immediately and you get an unofficial score report before you leave the testing center.
*drumroll*
660 (out of 800), which is..pretty damn good. Did better on the verbal than the math, which is actually a bit unusual, but it says here that 660 is in the 86th percentile. So or every hundred people that take the test, there are 14 nerds that scored higher. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4/wrworth/Emoticons/tongue.gif The essay portion still has to be graded, but I don't think that factors into the 3-digit score. It's its own thing graded on a scale of 1-6 that's separate from the main score on the official report.
That was the biggest hurdle. I've been stressing about this stupid thing for months. I still have to round up recommendation letters, polish up the resume and you know..actually fill out the application through the UT Web site. :shifty But it takes the test scores 20 days to show up at the school, during which time I hope to take care of all that jazz.
Now where did I put that blasted teleporting raygun?
