I'm kinda hoping these are just mock ups. The repaint Croc Master is kinda cool...but I'm no where near impressed with that Mole Pod. Plus, an Armadillo? Really? That makes me sad in the pants. :cry Me no likey toys that are already shelf warmers being re-released in new packaging.

The Gem here, IMO, is that Shipwreck. Looks like a 3.75" Sigma 6 Shippy! :salute

The picture of the Terra Viper on on the back of the box looks a hell of a lot better then the solid black Croc Master mold. Nothing more than an LBC, but that CM head on Serpentor's body seem to work.

Much like the leaked pics of the snowmobile-type movie toy, this Mole Pod is a bit too VvV for me...and the repainted Croc Master doesn't do it for me. :(

I'll pass on the Mole Pod...but the Thunderblast and "desert" Armadillo are great. And I'll get that Shipwreck for the head, to make a 25th-style DDP Shipwreck custom! :thumbsup

I really like the cobra truck and the night raven.
The ice sabre is an awesome vehicle but I would've preferred a different color scheme the driver is interesting.
Again I really like the truck it's both realistic and cool at the same time, and the driver is nice too.
That said, I think the truck will be my first pick out of the bunch.

I've looked at it a few more times since then, and every time I look at it, I like it more. It grew on me pretty damn quickly, and now I think I want two of them. :lol

The Night Raven is awesome, now I wish I had bought the Sigma Six Firebat and modded it, because that is the sort of vibe I get from this new jet.
It's awesome.
It's also a decent size, so I won't have to worry about taking up too much room.
The Scarab on the other hand, I really don't dig.
I was talking to Apac and Scraps about it.
It is very realistic looking, but to me it doesn't fit in with the rest of the vehicles. Not just the movie vehicles, all of the vehicles.
It's just going to look odd next to a Hiss Tank, or any other Cobra vehicle.
I will not deny the awesomeness of it, I just don't think it will blend in with the rest of the vehicles, I mean, it's just a hummer with Cobra logos after all.
I never got an Ice Saber, and not really a fan of snow-themed figures/vehicles (Snowcat/Devastor excluded), but I may get one of each of the two snow themed stuff for the sake of getting them.
Better to have them and not want them than to want them and not have them. lol.

I like the look of the night raven, so i'll be picking one up. and as for the Humvee, my son will get it and I'll get the motor-viper. Seriously, it's just a thing of beauty.
This is G.I. Joe, and this speaks to my inner child.
When I think G.I. Joe, I think of fantastic awesome vehicles and figures.
If I wanted a cheap ass tank or some realistic looking crap, I would buy one of those generic army toys.
No, sir, this is the big leagues here, and the PITT is a very fantastic chunk of awesomeness.
The Night Raven is slick and sexy, I don't get the hate or negativity.
The only vehicle I still have a problem with is the Steel Crusher (wtf Toyfare calls it the Scarab...), it's too realistic and not imaginative enough to stand out for me, especially in this new world of accelerator suits and giant awesome mobile hqs.
I'll still pick one up, to support the line, but it may be something my son gets to chew on or throw around.

I've had at least a dozen people inform me that the Joe movie is going to suck. I've seen a ton of negativity aimed at the movie line, as well as the modern line, and I am sorry guys, I'm sick of it. I've cut back posting because I have a lot of crap to deal with IRL. I don't need the TNI, Yojoe, and the other boards' whining and complaining because the Movie line is "Crap" and "Awful". I intend to go into the movie with the mindset that this is the movieverse, and the toys are based on that. I will buy them, because I love GIJOE, good and bad.

All of the joe line was originally made for kids. Yet back then it seemed like they gave a crap what they produced, today it seems like whatever the dart hits on the wall gets made, no matter how crappy it is.

We're also not in the economic boom that we were in the 80's. Quite the opposite actually. It's more Walmart, Target, and TRU calling the shots now rather than Hasbro. Hasbro has to produce what these companies are willing to put on their shelves.

Most of the time, these stores do not want huge vehicles and playsets clogging up space on their shelves. The BMF is a prime recent example. It sold very poorly in general. Sold out quick at the beginning because of the collectors, and then they sat and sat, and many still sit, clearanced at over 50% off now.





I've had at least a dozen people inform me that the Joe movie is going to suck. I've seen a ton of negativity aimed at the movie line, as well as the modern line, and I am sorry guys, I'm sick of it. I've cut back posting because I have a lot of crap to deal with IRL. I don't need the TNI, Yojoe, and the other boards' whining and complaining because the Movie line is "Crap" and "Awful". I intend to go into the movie with the mindset that this is the movieverse, and the toys are based on that. I will buy them, because I love GIJOE, good and bad.

As for the PIT, it's 100$ and if I'll have to pay for shipping it will be probably another 50$ or more, considering the size and weight of the thing. Even if I like it (it looks to me like the MCC meets the rolling thunder and mean dog - from these small pics anyway).

This appeal to simple logic, not aesthetics. This purely engineering observation.

1. Comic PIT I, II, and III all enclosed structures. Upcoming playset is not.

2. 1987 MCC give illusion of "interior" with one-sided perspective. Upcoming playset does not. Upcoming playset splits into :confused ???

3. Upcoming playset have wheels. This imply that upcoming playset not PIT, but rather some new MCC with no sense of true interior as above.

4. Upcoming playset look top-heavy. Make less sense when seen as new-type of MCC. If new PIT playset blow a tire. . .everything fall over.

So it looks like we are getting accelerator suit figures of the main Joe team, and then again in that hip camo, plus specialized versions, like Duke and Heavy Duty.
Shipwreck, Hawk, and Cover Girl all seem to be wearing the camo as well, as does Zartan.
That face he comes with looks generic enough to warrant a few extra purchases for background characters.
If they were smart, we will see non movie Joes in that camo!
This line has potential.
I do get a very Sigma Six vibe from the figures and the vehicles.
I cannot wait to see what else this line has in store for us.

The Pit is the biggest vehicle in the past decade.
Can hold 84 figures, and has breakaway walls, and a has ramps for vehicles, whatever that means.
The extra cardboard pieces are packaging materials they removed.

Sorry if people don't like all the negativity towards this line but I have yet to see something that is going to make me jump up and say "WOW I MUST HAVE!!".

The Raven and the Old PITT maybe have been made for kids, and I'm sure that these new toys will be also. Only this big old fat kid isn't buying them.

The new vehicles are repaints or look lackluster, the Cobra humvee for instance doesn't look the least bit threatening, and the Ice Dagger and whatever the Armadillo is called now are just repaints and nothing I plan on getting (MAYBE THE ARMADILLO but it will depend on whether Thunderbolt or whatever his name is comes with his old helmet with antennas and stuff).

As for the figures? It looks like most of them are full of springloaded stuff. I'll wait and see opened ones and hear how they are. In all seriousness I was planning on ending my Joe buying days of new things when the movie hit, cause something told me it was the right time. If 25th line continues on with great stuff like the Cobra Island Attack packs, then I'll trudge forward.

Someone (I think JD but I could be wrong) said when Sigma 6 was in full swing that we need to support GI JOE since it could lead to better things with "teh line" well I DIDN'T support Sigma Six AT ALL and we got the awesome 25th figures anyway. If I don't buy crap, it'll make them build something better.

In these tighter economic times, I really need to start watching what my money gets spent on, and countless repaints and lackluster products won't cut it anymore.

Ok, in all honesty, I really dig that figure design.
And then, the whole making the movie more realistic bs just got thrown out the window with this figure right here.
My only compliant with this figure is the ugly colors they used on the jacket. What is up with that light blue inner color of it?

The Raven is pretty cool. The two revolving missile launchers on either side rotate simultaneously when you reload it. The reload mechanism is the forward part of the plane, which you pump backwards. It's basically a plane shaped shotgun with sound effects. And if you don't reload another two missiles, ya get machine gun sounds instead o' missile sounds! NEOOOOWRRR! DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA! KABOOM!

Sadly, I think we are still in with a bit of a wait for Rise of Cobra product to hit stores. Ebay has loads, but is anyone willing to pay twice the price to get 'em early? I'll rock up some more pics of the Raven tonight and post 'em over the weekend. Yep, single seater. I'm gutted because Wild Weasel doesn't fit in the cockpit, due to the holster on his leg.

Yeah, they are some customs I did a while ago. The Raider just didn't seem 'Joeish, and I was lacking Cobra stuff at the time, so I gave it a Cobra blue paint job. The snowmobile was a mash up of a very early Action Force vehicle that I reworked, including a rotating gatling gun from a Zoid wolf on the back. My Snow Serpents were lacking any kinda ride. Not that they are gonna find many hotties in Antarctica. The legoish fellas? I snagged a bunch of Minimates from a comic fair, and pretty much straight away made Zartan (He is by far my favourite Joe or Cobra). The rest kinda grew from there. I am still working on Wild Weasel, Firefly, The Baroness and Airtight. Once I get 'em done, you guys will be the first to know! Although, since I've become a professional sculptor, I'm kinda thinking I'd like to go back and give 'em all a bit of a clean up!

Well if you look at it, most of the movie line we have seen so far are different versions of the same core characters, and the Cobra Troops are basically the same figure with different heads and body armor of varying ugliness. And repaints from the modern era line.

I went to tru the other day and saw Terminator and Star Trek sharing the big setup in the front of the store. I wonder if Gijoe will be sharing the front with Transformers. I doubt they'll do a big switch over for gijoe within a months time. I'm really looking forward to whatever setup they come up with.
