Force Unleashed

The "Force Unleashed" is a major, mass marketing storyline. In the footsteps of "Shadows of the Empire", "Force Unleashed" will be a media blitz. Video Games, Toys, Books, Soundtracks, etc.

The story takes place between episodes 3 and 4. It follows Darth Vader's Apprentice. The Apprentice Vader is secretly training to get his revenge on Palpatine. :eek

What the hell? I somehow missed the black Royal Guard during the Toy Fair coverage. Looks sweet.

The wiki entry says that promo art (also on the page) shows a SD over Felucia.
:huh Looks an awful lot like Naboo to me. I saw that image somewhere else already and was like, 'Whoa!' because it's such a badass image to advertise a game/event meant to bridge the gap between the two trilogies. Felucia..not so much.

What's not to like about Prince Xizor? :rolleyes Other than his blue skin and everything else, that is.

This game looks pretty wicked. Revenge against Palpatine? Interesting...since we already know how that goes (see Eps IV - VI), it'll be nice to see the plot between the two movies.

I read an article in some gaming mag today while in B&N (whichever one currently has this on the cover). It went into some detail about the Euphoria engine and the 'digital molecular matter,' how the force powers are amped up in this environment and the baddies' AI. All I can say is...

Sounds all kinds of crazy awesome. Far as I'm concerned, this is the killer app that will make me go out and buy one of the new consoles.

They did say that IF it comes out for the Wii, it won't have the hoped for Wiimote lightsaber capability.

Star Wars site extraordinaire Galactic Hunter (http://www.galactichunter.com/index.asp) is reporting that The Force Unleashed game has been delayed AGAIN!


Force Unleashed Delayed, Again - It's hard to believe, but information coming from LucasArts indicates that The Force Unleashed will be pushed back yet again, to quarter 1 2009. Looks like they don't want it conflicting with the Clone Wars series. No word on how this affects other tie-ins. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.

The licensors can't be happy, as is, they've had to delay the book and toys over a year, now the "much hyped" game is being delayed again.

This just goes to show you shouldn't support a video game release unless you are SURE that it will come out in a timely manner.

JD Old Bridge Walmart is where I grabbed Brood, Kota, and the Imperial Guard but I'm sure the whole wave was there, I didn't see any of the Legacy packs, but the whole wave was there, sans the Shadow Guards which I emptied.

So look at Wallyworld, or make your Trek to OB.

The official release date is September 18th, and it does come out for the Wii (and will be Wiichuck compatible). For that matter it's even coming out for the PSP, Nintendo DS, and PS2. Lucasarts is really trying to push this game!

BBTS has an internet exclusive wave thats pretty sweet! plus unlike other internet waves its actually fufilled :thumbsup
