BATTLESHIP: The Movie, WoW

When I first heard about Hasbro talking about doing a movie about their boardgame Battleship, I thought to myself, what the heck can you do with a board game? There is no true history, no players, no good/bad guy, but I believe they pulled them off.

But damn, this looks like an awesome movie, Alien Robots, check, Battleships, check, Carriers, check, fast action, check. I think GI Joe might have a run for its money this spring.

It's been a rough day so I'm gonna do this all in one go . . .

So we've got quite a few G.I. Joe: Retaliation updates first up, Hasbro has updated their official G.I. Joe page, and according to HISS Tank, they've updated the G.I. Joe toys section!

Also, Aerosmith's single from G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Legendary Child will be available on Amazon for digital download on May 29!

TS118's Operation: Joe Vs. Aliens

Some quick notes..

- Aliens Versus Predators and the GI Joe fan film Operation Red Retrieval (inclusion of the Predator as a potential Joe ally/villain).

- Main theme is a Cobra jungle laboratory experimenting/studying Alien specimens and accidentally triggering a mass breeding, leading to the base being wiped out of living Cobra personnel (who served as hosts for the Alien reproduction). Joes were sent in to help contain the situation, eradicate all known threats and ensure that all Cobra notes, files, and evidence of alien study are retrieved and kept for further evaluation back at Joe HQ. Inadvertently, they run into a pack of Predators, who have been observing in the shadows and have joined in the fight to claim the biggest prize of them all, an Alien Queen�s skull.

- Displayed last weekend March 31-April 1, 2012 at the Robinson�s Place Manila Mall (Philippines) in celebration of TAGCOM 2012, organized by Hobbiworx and PinoyToyKolektors (PTK).

- Brought to you by the Philippines only local 3 3/4 (1:18) Joe online community..TS118

- Used space was only 2 � feet by 5 feet (1 table)

- This diorama changes display twice per day (total of 4 set-ups over the weekend). This style is the first of its kind in the Philippines for action figures (regardless of scale). We call it as a "dynamic modular diorama" or DMD.

- Took 4 weekends of preparation and actual dio-work to complete (figures/structures/vehicles). Mostly done on Saturdays only.

- Collaboration done by at least 15 members (builders, pledgers/financiers, consultants, etc.).

- Featured GI Joe customs in modern body constructions (The Plague, Voltar, Metalhead, Mistress Armada, Alexander Destro, General Mayhem, among others) plus 1:18 scale Aliens and Predators (McFarlane 4� line, customized and articulated).

We�ve made a special TS118 photobucket album as well for most of the good pictures and you may access and mirror all of the images here (they are all good to share so others can view them without having to click the photobucket link). You have full access to our dedicated album.

Greetings to all Cobra Island forum members! We would just like to share with you another TS118 Outdoor Diorama and we�re hoping you can have it featured on your awesome site. May we present to you Operation: Cobra Island.

Operation Cobra Island is an outdoor diorama shoot held in BF Homes Park, south of Manila, brought to you by the same team that came up with O:Shock and Awe, O:Killzone, O: Forced Entry, O: Gothic Serpent, O: Sidewinder Verde, O: Grayia Seize-r and O: Snake Rising�the Philippines only local 3 3/4 (1:18) Joe online community.. TS118

Over 150 Vehicles and Playsets with 220 figures to create the Cobra Island Outdoor diorama.

Collaboration done by at least 12 members (builders, pledgers/financiers, consultants, toy photographers, etc. led Papabear, Dominusdjinn and Danielgogeta).

Preliminary diorama for another one in a grander and much larger scale in the near future.
