So after the Hasbro Q and A thread, there seems to be some interest in me doing a new one of these. And with recent job changes, I actually have time and energy to maintain one again!

This will be a quasi-serious thread about the GI Joe brand (or Transformers, Star Wars or Masters of the Universe if you have pressing questions regarding those brands), the BS goes in Funky's Q and A thread.

The usual notice: I have no insider sources, all my information comes from material published at various websites and my analysis and conjectures are formed using readily available info and the precedents I have observed in the Joe and other brands in the past. My opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of the rest of the Cobra Island staff.

For most markets, probably. This will likely end up a Black Friday special, so that guarantees a big number of sales from Christmas parents. I know the STar Wars sets did quite well last year and they are getting more this year.

I don't expect many of these to hit clearance.

I never shop on black friday cuz i hear its pretty insane. If these are a black friday special, will they be almost impossible to get unless trying to force through the herds of shoppers that day to get one?

Eh, depends on your area. In some, they will probably sell before the official date, others, may see clearance on them. Hard to tell at this point. Again, the only details we have on the set are the contents, price, and that it is due in November.

What are the odds of packs of weapons or generic display stands being offered on HTS? Hasbro has got to know how popular this idea is. It seems that Hasbro is treating Joe as seriously as SW. Am I off base here?

I think I missed the details, so I'm just floating this out here. Are the 25th vehicles such as the Rattler and the Firebat going to have retooled interiors? I tried to fit a 25th Wild Weasel in an '84 Rattler and he's just not going in.

Just wondering when we can expect to see the DVD packs hitting retail? I'm extremely excited about the Serpentor figure, this is the Serpentor I've waited for that I've never got to touch, lol, I would change a bit of the coloring, but design wise it's what I've wished for.
